Seeing Us Through Jesus’ Eyes

Text: Luke 20: 41-21:4

Reflection and Question: In the parable about the widow’s offering, the rich and the learned tower above the poor widow in the eyes of Jesus’ world (and ours). But Jesus praises her for giving “all she had to live on.” That’s what he sees. When did you last see what is around you with Jesus’ eyes?

Prayer: Blessed Jesus, help us to meet the challenge You place before us in the widow’s might to “give all that we have to live on” to You. Open our eyes so that we may see the world as You do and teach us to learn from what we then see. Amen.
